Il casco per saldatura, noto anche come schermo o maschera per saldatura, è un dispositivo di protezione usato durante la saldatura e altri lavori che richiedono la protezione del viso e degli occhi contro scintille, proiezioni di materiale fuso, raggi ultravioletti o infrarossi e gas nocivi. La maschera è realizzata in plastica ABS ben resistente ed è provvista di filtro autoscurante certificato per la protezione della vista durante il lavoro.
L’intensità di oscuramento del filtro può essere impostata in base al tipo di lavoro e irradiazione. Al termine delle operazioni il filtro torna alla luminosità originaria. Il casco è munito di cinturini (fascia) attorno al capo, per garantire un sicuro fissaggio senza movimenti del casco durante il lavoro.
